2 Components of the Program

Step 1: Take the online couple’s assessment.

You’ll begin with each partner taking a customized, strengths-oriented assessment. This will quickly provide you with a comprehensive view of your relationship.

Step 2: Feedback & teaching relationship skills with your coach for 8 weekly sessions.
We’ll review the assessment you’ve taken and explore 10 different areas that affect your relationship. You’ll get to deepen the bond you have as a couple while developing confidence and relationship skills.

What We Will Cover during the 8 Sessions

Communication Skills
Here we'll explore each individual's beliefs, feelings and attitudes about communication in his/her relationship. Items focus on the level of comfort felt by each partner in being able to share important emotions and opinions with one another, perceptions of their partner's listening and speaking skills and perceptions concerning their own abilities to communicate with their partner.
 
Conflict Resolution

During the Conflict Resolution session, we’ll evaluates an individual’s attitudes, feelings and beliefs about the existence and resolution of conflicts in the relationship. Items pertain to the openness of partners in recognizing and resolving issues, the strategies and processes used to end arguments and the level of satisfaction with the manner in which problems are resolved.

 
Partner Style and Habits

Partner Style and Habits assesses each individual’s perception and satisfaction with the personal habits and behavioral traits of their partner. There will be a focus on issues such as: temper, moodiness, and stubbornness. In addition, this considers a spouse’s general outlook, dependability and tendency to be controlling.

 
Family and Friends

Family & Friends assesses feelings and concerns about relationships with relatives, in-laws and friends. We’ll focus on the attitudes of family and friends toward the marriage, expectations regarding the amount of time spent with family and friends, comfort felt in the presence of the partner’s family and friends and perceptions of the situation as characterized by conflict or satisfaction.

 

Sexual Expectations

Sexual Expectations assess an individual’s feelings and concerns about affection and the sexual relationship with his/her partner. We’ll reflect on satisfaction with expressions of affection, level of comfort in discussing sexual issues, attitudes toward sexual behavior, birth control/family planning decisions and feelings about sexual fidelity.

 

Spiritual Beliefs

Spiritual Beliefs assesses attitudes, feelings and concerns about the meaning of religious beliefs and practices within the context of the relationship. We’ll explore the meaning and importance of religion, involvements in church/synagogue activities and the expected role religious beliefs will have in the marriage.

 
Marriage Expectations

Marriage Expectations assesses an individual’s expectations about love, commitment and conflict in his/her relationship. We’ll assess the degree to which expectations about marriage and relationships are realistic and based on objective ideas.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities evaluates an individual’s beliefs, attitudes and feelings about marital and family roles and responsibilities. This category measures satisfaction with how household chores and decision making are shared.

 

Financial Management

We’ll look at having realistic financial plans and agreement in the area of finances. We’ll explore opinions about spending habits, savings, debt, and making financial decisions.

 
Leisure Activities

Here we’ll explore your satisfaction with the amount and quality of leisure time spent together.
